Jesus Is Lord

Do you see that sign over my shoulder? It says, “Jesus is Lord.” Because of that truth, I’m not panicking or getting the least bit hyper about all that is going on with that “C” word.

As Christians, we don’t have to worry about what is going on. In fact, the Word commands us not to fear or worry. How is that done? By having faith in God! By resting in Him and and using Him as your shield.

Psalms 91 says, “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in the darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, through ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.

How do you apply this protection to your life?

Do the opposite of what brings you fear and anxiety:

  1. Instead of immersing yourself in the news, immerse yourself in the Word. Dwell on scriptures like the one above to feed on His truth about His protection.

  2. Choose to believe God’s Word. When you worry, you meditate on what could happen negatively. When you have faith in God, you choose to meditate (think about and fill your mind with) what He says, “no plague will come near your home!”

  3. Speak Faith instead of Fear. Instead of letting the fear come out of your mouth, say “this virus may be going around, but it will go around me in Jesus Name! This plague will not come near my home!”

Remember that God is still on the throne and Jesus is still Lord no matter what it looks like in the world. There is so much more to say on this subject. My book, planted, was released at a perfect time. The title even says, A Guided study to Produce a Peace-filled life in an Anxiety-filled World.

This world is full of fear and anxiety right now. If you are struggling to have peace or struggle with anxiety in general, this book will really help you. Order it on Amazon.com, Westbowpress.com, or click the link below to purchase a signed copy.
