Ready for some good news? I’m talking about REAL good news. No, you’re not going to find it on TV or the radio. You’re not going to find it on any social media. If you are need of some legit good news, then turn off the TV, put your phone down (well, after you read this), and listen up!

“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” 1 Corinthians 4:8-9
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:35, 37
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
I could go on here with a list of empowering scriptures. The point is this - although the world is in turmoil, you are not crushed, you are not in despair, you are not destroyed, and you are more than a conqueror because of THE ONE who lives on the inside of you. (If you have asked Him into your life - if not, do it!)
Wonder Woman is probably my favorite super hero. Reading these verses reminds me of the latest Wonder Woman movie where she is running through a dangerous battle ground with no fear! She knew she was strong and equipped to handle the task. She had trained for such a situation.
Are you equipped for the battle you are facing? Wonder Woman had some pretty cool weapons, but so do you! Ephesians says that you have the power and authority to wield the Sword of the Spirit - which is the Word of God. Now, Wonder Woman spent time training to use her different battle techniques and weapons. There is also a technique to using the Sword of the Spirit.
The Sword of the Spirit represents the Word of God. However, picking up your Bible and waving it around isn’t going to do anything. The technique for using the Sword of the Spirit is speaking it. You have to declare what is says over whatever situation you are facing.
For example, if you are battling anxiety, find scriptures about who you are in Christ and about His peace. Then make those scriptures personal to you. Declare the scriptures in your life - grabbing hold of them by faith. Faith simply believes that it is true and receives it.
You are STRONG, you are POWERFUL, you are EQUIPPED, and you can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens you. Don’t rely on your own strength, but tap into Christ for His supernatural, devil-stomping, strength to rise up in you today!
