"You Did It To Me"

And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I will say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ Matthew 25:40

God takes our treatment of others personally. In fact, according to this verse, when we perform an act of kindness toward another person, especially another child of God, it's as if we do it for God. He takes it that personally! Last week, when my son was getting people where they needed to be, he was dealing with people, but he was actually transporting God. I believe this is why the conversations invariably turned to God, even when Chris didn't initiate the conversation. It's pretty hard to ignore God when He's riding in the vehicle.

Years ago, we were on our way to church on a Sunday morning when we came across a lady whose car had broken down. We went back to the house where I grabbed my pickup and some tools. I'm not a mechanic but I can do some maintenance. This lady had a broken fan belt and she was on her way to see a new grandbaby. Long story short, I was able to fix her car and it was one of the best church services I ever attended.

The next time you have the opportunity to help someone, remember, you are really helping God.
