How Far Is God Willing to Go For You?

The day God gave the Amorites up to Israel, Joshua spoke to God, with all Israel listening: "Stop, sun, over Gibeon; Halt, moon, over Aijalon Valley." And the sun stopped, and the moon stood still until he defeated his enemies. Joshua 10:12&13

How far is God willing to go to honor the word of a man? I have to believe that this came about through a man speaking what the Holy Spirit said. When God made man, He gave him authority over the natural realm. The idea that God can do anything He wants to apart from man is right from Satan himself. That is a religious teaching that has no basis in truth.

Everyone who has had basic science knows that the earth is spinning. What I was taught is if the world stopped spinning, we would all fly off into space. Well, when Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stop, the world quit spinning and nobody went anywhere.

So the question is, how far is God willing to go where you are concerned? The answer is as far as He needs to. God's one and only limitation is a man who won't believe what He said. People are dying and going to hell every day because they won't believe Him and trust in Him. Notice in these verses that Joshua commanded the sun and moon to stop where all the people could hear him say it. I have to think it bolstered their faith up a few notches. Believe God for more in your life. Anything in the His Word is available to you if you can believe for it.
