The Power In You

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

This is a crazy thought, if you are a Christian and Jesus resides in you, you have the same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwelling in you. The King James Version says "He quickens our mortal bodies."

This verse gives each one of us access to resurrection power whenever we need it. I have experienced this in my life and it is unlike anything I have ever felt. I was busy cutting trees and skidding logs all the while just worshiping God. All a sudden I felt a rejuvenation coming from deep inside of me. No matter how much energy I used, it was replaced, and more besides. I wasn't tired at all. I had more energy coming in than I was using. It got to the point where I was literally running from job to job and I wasn't getting tired. The power I was experiencing couldn't run out because it was instantly replaced faster than I was using it. I worked this way for 10 hours straight and wasn't tired. Finally, I told Holy Spirit it was time for me to go home. Instantly the power stopped flowing and I was physically tired. I have never really known how to get that power again since I didn't do anything to step into it the first time. It was a gift just for me at that time. There are times when each of us needs a physical boost. Instead of reaching for a shot of caffeine, why not reach for Romans 8:11?
