Our Limited Understanding

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

God created this world, put us in it, and equipped us to get around in it. That equipment we know of as our five senses. What gets us into trouble is when we try to use those five senses to communicate with God. That's why this verse tells us not to rely on our natural way of interacting when it comes to our relationship with God.

In case no one has noticed, our understanding can be very limited. We tend to see the answer to a problem coming from one or two directions. God sees the answer from an unlimited number of directions. He understands our problems from every angle.

One of the biggest mistakes we make is to divide our problems down, make two lists, give one to God and keep one for ourselves. He'll certainly let you do that but I'm sure it saddens Him when we don't trust Him with every area of our lives.
