Encounter With an Angel

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Hebrews 13:2

I've often wondered how many people I meet are really angels in human form. Actually, the only known angel I have ever seen was in human form.

We were heading home one night and got stuck in the snow. In a matter of minutes a guy appeared in my window asking if he could help dig us out. I remember he had a full beard and two shovels. He and I went to work digging the car out, making small talk. In a short time headlights appeared in the distance and he said help was coming. When I turned around he was gone. There was a house right there so I assumed he went home. Long story short, the vehicle that showed up was fully equipped to pull us out. Jan (my wife) baked cookies to take to the guy that helped us, and he didn't live there. The people that did live there didn't know anything about the man we described. We realized we had an encounter with an angel. This verse became personal to us.
