God's Set-Up

And God blessed them, and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it… Genesis 1:28

God gave man an assignment- be fruitful and multiply. Over time, we have become busy. God never told us to be busy. The fact is, you can be very busy and not accomplish a thing. Being fruitful means being productive and effective. Think about this, man was created in God's image to operate the way God did. How did God create everything? He spoke it into existence.

Man was created to form his world by speaking into it. It wasn't until man sinned that actual labor became the operating norm. When Jesus rose from hell, He took back everything satan stole and gave it back to man( Matt. 28:18&19) How many of us actually take the time to speak into our day? I know I am lazy in this department. I have challenged myself to spend time speaking into my day before I start it. Getting back to the way God set things up, my expectation is to be productive and effective in what I set out to do.
