Watch Your Mouth

Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Psalm 34:13

I have known a few people, very few, who I never heard say anything bad about anybody. What a gift that is! I wish I could say that about myself, but that's just not possible. I have gotten so much better over the years, just don't get me started on politics.

James put it this way in James 3:9&10, "We praise God and curse men out of the same mouth."(my paraphrase). So, what does it take not to speak badly about anyone? It takes a mouth totally surrendered to God. The more time you spend with God and His word, the more your thoughts will be established in Him. The more that your thoughts are established in Him, the more you will speak the way God wants you to speak. Instead of speaking badly about someone, pray for them. Instead of complaining about people, be their advocate before the throne.
