For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Have you ever asked God what His thoughts are toward you? We all have heard and even sang about how Jesus loves us. But what are His thoughts about you personally – why did He create you the way that He did?

Many people think of God as being all about rules and if you mess up, you’re gonna get it! That is furthest from God’s heart toward you and what He thinks about you. This verse says that His thoughts are of peace and not of evil. He wants you to have a wonderful life and fulfill what He has planned for you since the beginning of time.

So how do you fulfill His plan for you? Trust Him. Trust His direction and instruction for your life. Start by reading the Bible. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes (or is strengthened) by hearing the Word. Next, develop your prayer life and learn to hear His voice. Begin by journaling about a scripture passage. Check out the journal in the resources below to help you out. Go to church to learn and be strengthened in your faith by the faith community. It is always a blessing to have friends to pray for you and with you.

If you do those basics, you will soon find that you are living in God’s plan for your life. You will begin to know His heart and what He thinks about you. Most of all, you will learn to trust Him because you will have built a relationship with Him.

Dear Lord, thank you for loving me and having a good plan for my future. Amen.
