Don't Complain
Do all things without complaining and disputing. Philippians 2:14
How long can you go without complaining once? The list is long when it comes to complaining. The person in front of you at the checkout has a whole cart full of groceries and you have two items. You think you just scored the last spot in the parking lot only to find out there's a shopping cart in it. Where did the guy next to you learn to drive? Doesn't anyone use turn signals anymore?
You don't have to look very hard to find something to complain about. Let's face it, you just encountered the fourth jerk of the day and it's not even 9:00 in the morning. Don't even get me started on politicians and gas prices.
What if you just let all of that go? It IS a choice, and it's yours to make. I have decided that I would give God something to work with during my day. The other day I stopped at McDonald's for lunch and pulled into a parking spot. The spot in front of me was empty except for a cup o' noodles someone had placed in the middle of the spot. They had filled it with water and placed it there. Before I could get started on what kind of moron would do this, I had a vision of the mess it would be if it got ran over and the worker that had to clean it up. I just picked it up and threw it in the garbage. And then I thanked God that I could serve Him this way and be a blessing to those who would come after me. It's not easy to not complain, but God gets the glory when we don't.
