Words of the Wise

"Words of the wise, spoken quietly, should be heard rather than the shout of a ruler of fools." Ecclesiastes 9:17

There's an old saying that goes, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease". In other words, the loudest noise gets the attention.

There is a lot of noise out there that tries to get our full attention. Are you listening to the noise or listening for the quiet voice of wisdom concerning the matter?

God has answers for every situation we are presented with. The thing about God we need to understand is 1) He's not pushy, and 2) He's always right. The thing about the world is 1) it is loud, and 2) it's nearly always wrong. The only way I know is to turn off the noise and listen for the quiet voice.
