Planning Something Good

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially those who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10

I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to bless people. I'm sure that, if you followed me around for a while, you wouldn't see anything great or noteworthy that I do to better mankind. On the other hand, I'm constantly on the lookout for ways to make someone's life just a little easier. It may be taking someone's grocery cart back or taking my cart back into the store, so it doesn't become someone else's problem. I look for drivers who need to merge into my lane and gladly let them in.

One of my greatest pleasures is to do something, and no one knows that I did it. In fact, this has become a game with me, doing something nice without getting caught doing it. I remember laying in my bed after surgery, tubes running everywhere, thinking of ways to be a blessing to my nurses, making their day just a little lighter. It doesn't take a lot to do something good, but it does take some planning.
