How We Handle Situations

"You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." 2 Timothy 2:3

Let's face it, things are going to happen that we don't like. How we handle those things says a lot about our maturity in Christ.

We finished up my appointments at Mayo Monday afternoon. Our game plan was to start heading home after the last appointment, so we drove the car to the clinic, parking in one of the parking ramps. I know this has never happened to anyone else, but the car wasn't where I thought it was. We walked up this way and down that way, but no car. Jan couldn't go any further, so I found a pedestrian exit and told her to just wait while I located the car. After a lot of walking, I found the car! What a happy moment! Now there was another problem. I couldn't remember where I stashed Jan. Thank goodness for cell phones. After a few more minutes, we were reunited, but the exit wasn't easy to find. We did meet some nice people who were searching for their own cars.

Things are going to happen that kind of mess up our lives. How we handle those things says everything about our character. We can't always choose our circumstances, but we can always choose how we handle them.
