We Are All Connected

"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named." Ephesians 3:14&15

There are some things in the Bible that I really can't wrap my head around; I have to accept them by faith. This is one of those things. The truth that the people in heaven and the born-again people on earth are connected is a little difficult to grasp.

My parents, who are both in heaven, are still my parents. They never stopped being my parents just because they left earth, and I can't see them or talk to them for now. Are they watching me? I personally don't think so. Hebrews 12:1 says we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses but doesn't go into details.

The error comes when we take what the Bible says and add our own words to it. There is coming a day when the whole body of Christ will be united together in one place and be together for eternity.
