Your Access

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

I remember sitting in my father-in-law's office with several other men, and my father-in-law made some comment, and I made a smart comment right back. Everyone laughed, including my father-in-law. After the meeting, I was talking to some of the other guys, and one of them said he was glad I said something because they were all thinking it. I asked him why he didn't say what I did, and his response caught me off guard. He said, "Because none of us have the access you do."

Because of Jesus, every born-again believer has unlimited access to the throne of God. We are instructed to come before God with boldness, the kind of boldness that comes from being family. This may be a little difficult to get ahold of, especially if you've been taught to enter God's presence with fear and trembling or you don't really know who you are in Christ.

When I enter the throne room, I come with boldness but also with respect and reverence.
