Feeding Words

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Proverbs 18:21

I am convinced that the most dangerous words we speak are words that don't line up with the word of God spoken out of innocence. We have phrases that are so common we don't even think about them. One phrase I've been thinking about is, "That scares me to death!" It is such a common phrase that we don't even think about it. The only way satan has access to our lives is through the words we speak. In one phrase, we have opened the door to his two favorite subjects, fear, and death. If you ever wonder why you have bad dreams or have sudden fear, it's because your words have opened the door to it.

As long as you keep speaking words along the lines of death and fear, those feelings will get stronger and stronger because you are actually feeding them. The first step in stopping fear is to quit speaking it!
