Back and Forth

Have you noticed that a flashlight can either light your feet or light your path? You can either see where you are going or see where you are stepping. You can't do both. I was given an opportunity to get in on a great deal one time. I wasn't sold on it, to begin with, but I gave it a fighting chance.

I remember sitting at our table with this paperwork and my Bible. I would read from this paper and then read from James, where he gives the definition of wisdom. I went back and forth, and I'll be honest, the paperwork was confusing. After doing this for quite a while, it was like a lightbulb went on. I saw everything clearly. I was experiencing the light of God's word illuminating this document and exposing every flaw in it. I saw it for the sham that it was.

I would love to be able to say this is the way I always do things, but it's not. I get lazy sometimes and don't allow God to shine His light in areas that need that light. It is available to us anytime we need extra light to see clearly!
