God-Given

The gifts we possess are God-given. They are different from the gifts found in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. Those are specific ministry gifts. Your gifts are given to you to bless other people with.

You and I are simply stewards of what God has given. The gift you have was given to you by God, who chose it and placed it in you. You may never use it, but you will never lose it. God doesn't take gifts back. I like to put it this way, God has no return policy! You cannot lose it by not using it.

If there is a downside to this, it is the truth that each of us will stand before God one day and explain how we used His gift. I don't know about anyone else, but I am anxious to stand before Him and tell Him how I was able to spread my gift to others!
