Knowledge of God = Freedom
Here is a truth- the more knowledge we have of God, the freer we are. The most dangerous Christian is the person who has zeal but not much knowledge. This person sees everything as potentially evil and, generally speaking, attacks other Christians for not being like them.
A number of years ago, we had the privilege of spending a week in Japan. (Our daughter-in-law is from Japan.) One of our outings was to visit some Buddhist temples. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and we witnessed a wedding ceremony. It wasn't lost on me that we did this on Easter Sunday!
I didn't feel out of place, but as I sat watching the monks do their thing, I couldn't shake the feeling of sadness for them because they had such passion but were so lost. One thing I didn't have was condemnation for being there. That simply didn't exist. I'm so thankful for serving the God of the universe who has provided such freedom for His children.
