Necessary Verses

"And these signs will follow those who believe....and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them." Mark 16:17a&18b

God is so thorough that He covered every contingency we might face into His word. I came upon these verses years ago and decided to really get them into my spirit. I really had no plans to ever use them, but I made them part of my regular confession.

I amended and personalized verse 18 to say, "no poison would have any affect on my body".  Long story short, I was trying to start my skid loader on a cold day. The battery blew up, drenching my face, neck, and eyes in battery acid. I started confessing the word immediately as I drove myself to the hospital.

You need to have the word in you because when something like this happens, is not the time to start looking up some scriptures!

I got to the hospital with 3rd degree burns covering my face and neck. I was told I would have scars, permanent eye damage, and severe pain. I told them I wouldn't have any pain because Jesus bore my pain. I never talked that way before and at no time since. That was faith rising up in me. I never had any pain, my eyes tested better than 20/20, and to this day, I have no scars from the acid.

God is faithful to His word and continually watches over it to perform it on behalf of those who believe. You just never know when a particular verse will be necessary.
