The Cross = Redemption
First off, just what is the message of the cross? The cross is God reconciling man to Himself. That is the simple message. Jesus paid the price to save every man, woman, and child who has ever lived and whoever will live in the future. No one was left out.
Unfortunately, not everyone accepts redemption. In fact, many people believe they can get along just fine without Him. Satan has done such a great job lying to them; they believe eternity without God isn't going to be bad at all. I grieve for these people.
For us, the cross is the power of God. Everything we have and everything we are is wrapped up in the cross.
