To Partake

Some people really get weird about being partakers of Christ's sufferings. I've seen videos of people who have themselves nailed to crosses to "partake".

To partake of Christ's sufferings doesn't mean to go through what Jesus did. He suffered on the cross so we wouldn't have to. Everything He went through was for our benefit. He was bruised so we could be free from sin. Every stripe He took was provision for our physical healing. Jesus suffered the loss of all His earthly possessions so we could have access to Heaven's finances. He suffered the sting of death so we could transition from life to life more abundant.

This is some of what it means to partake of His suffering.
