We’re Just Containers
There is a Bible truth here that whatever you put in, that's what will come out. This is true in the natural world, and it's true in the spiritual world.
This is kind of a silly illustration, but you can only get out of a container what is put into it. If you put maple syrup into a bottle, that's all you will get out. You wouldn't expect anything else. The same is true with what we let into our heart (spirit). You will get out the same as what you put in.
Want to know what is in you? Just get a hammer and wack your thumb. You will find out what is in you! I like to listen to people's conversations. I'm not being nosy, but I can tell a lot about a person by just listening to what they are saying.
