What’s Your Excuse?

"Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in it, and cover it inside and out with pitch." Genesis 6:14

I know what you're thinking, "What does this verse have to do with faith?" Everything!! God gave Noah a direction and downloaded the plans into him. What Noah had to do was believe he could do it. Think about it; he built a 450' ship when no one even had a concept of what a boat was!

This 'little' project would only take Noah 100 years to complete. He and his family built the ship, furnished it, and supplied it with enough food for themselves and a whole bunch of animals for a year-long cruise. This was a faith project from start to finish. This is the first time that I could find where a man exercised his faith (and patience!) to complete a project so much larger than himself!

If Noah could do something like this with his limitations- limited tools, limited knowledge, etc.), what is our excuse? Noah did all he did without a Bible, no Jesus, no history, and no experience. He is definitely one of my must-meet when I get to heaven!
