120 Roadblock
God made a promise in Genesis 6:3 that man would have a lifespan of 120 years, and He has never backed down from that word. The fact that no one has reached that age in modern history doesn't make that word null and void. The problem isn't on God's end. We are the ones responsible.
Years ago, I had a roadblock when it came to reaching a certain production goal. No matter what I did or how hard I worked, that goal just couldn't be reached. One day, after months and months of trying, I broke that barrier. From that point on, I broke that barrier every day! It was easy.
For years, the four-minute mile was beyond reach. A man named Jim Ryan finally broke it. Fast forward to today, that has become the starting point, not the end.
What am I saying? The church has done a wonderful job of coming up with all the reasons why living 120 years is impossible. One of these years, someone is going to do it, which will open the door to this promise, and many others will follow. In the process, I believe God will be able to get some things done that He hasn't been able to thus far because those things require this promise to be fulfilled.
