Heavenly Economy

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Jesus was preaching in the wilderness to thousands of people who followed Him there. The disciples wanted Him to dismiss the crowd to go find food. Jesus told them to feed the crowd themselves. They started thinking in natural terms counting money. Don't tell me you've never done that. I know I have!

Jesus had a different plan. He tapped into heaven's economy, not earth's. We all know what happened, Jesus blessed the food and started breaking it apart, giving the pieces to His disciples, who broke it up more and handed out the fragments. Everyone ate as much as they wanted and there was food left over. In the natural, that fish and bread would have maybe fed two people. I don't know about you, but living a natural life by heaven's standards seems like a really good deal! If God didn't want us to live that way, why did He give us instructions on how to do it?
