What Triumph Looks Like

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ… 2 Corinthians 2:14

I don't know about you, but I have never been a war hero. I haven't invented something that changed life as we know it. I haven't discovered anything important to anyone. God has His own way of leading in triumph. Jesus conquered death by dying a horrible death.

One of my favorite missionaries was Nate Saint. He was an extraordinary pilot, which automatically moved him to the top of my list. He and his companions were killed by the very people they were trying to reach. Many people who had a passion for the things of God chose to die with Him rather than live without Him. Let's face it, most people who are important to God are unimportant to the world. So what does triumph really look like? It is living a life that is pleasing to God, that brings Him glory and honors Him even in the smallest of details. It is living daily in and through His Word. It is setting aside your life to gain His life. That is what triumph looks like.
