The Haves and the Have-nots
Wisdom is in the sight of him who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth. Proverbs 17:24
It's good once in a while to take a personal inventory to get a clear picture of what is working and what isn't. There have been times in my life when I was more focused on what I didn't have than what I did have. I can tell you that isn't a great way to accomplish your dreams. A person who is focused on the tasks at hand will be more satisfied at the end of the day than one who ends the day with excuses why the task couldn't be done. The reality is nothing is perfect. The difference between the haves and the have-nots comes down to work. Anything worthwhile is going to take work.
I have this one steady customer that was always telling me what I need. I finally told him that "I know I need that, but what I have is this." I haven't heard any more from him on the subject. If you are planting a garden, you may need a rototiller, but what you have is a shovel. Start digging!
