Belief and Unbelief

Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Mark 9:23

I'm going to say something that would make religious people really mad. God can't do everything He wants to do! He is certainly capable of doing anything He wants to do; God is unlimited in His capacity to move on behalf of people and nations. Then why doesn't He? We stand in His way! God can only do what you and I allow Him to do. If you desire to see God move on your behalf in mighty ways, then believe He will.

When Jesus was teaching in the house, the Bible says the power of God was there to heal them all, but only one got healed. The unbelief of those in attendance that day stopped Jesus from working on their behalf. The very same is true today. We can start out in faith, but if we don't see results right away, we replace our belief with unbelief. Often it is so subtle, we don't even realize it has taken place. An uncompromising God can't work in the lives of compromised people!
