A Seed of Doubt

Say to those who are fearful-hearted, 'Be strong, do not fear!' Isaiah 35:4a

The purpose of fear is to take you away from the truth of God. If Satan can get you to fear something, that fear can start to control you, to the point of even controlling your thought life. I find this happens to me whenever I'm facing a cat scan or any other cancer test. I have learned to take those thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.

What fear does is plant a seed of doubt in your mind. If you don't do anything with it, it dies. But if you make room for it and cultivate it(dwell on it), it grows to the point of overtaking all logic and eventually becomes your primary focus. Once that happens, Satan can get you to accept this fear as your reality, and you have opened the door for it to enter your life. Stop fear before it starts. I will expound more on this at a later time.
