A Mind Set on God

People with their minds set on You, You keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don't quit. Isaiah 26:4 MSG

Do you have your mind set on the things of God or the things of the world? It has been over two years since I turned off the news and I haven't missed it. In fact, my mind isn't cluttered with trying to keep up with everything that is constantly going on in the world. I was really tired of people telling me how and what to think. Now, I open my Bible to find out what kind of a day I'm going to have.

Going through cancer, there was so much I had no control over. What I chose to focus on was my relationship with Jesus. One thing I worked at was finding scripture that worked with what I was going through at the time. You won't find verses that deal specifically with chemotherapy, but there are many verses dealing with healing and thoughts. I can honestly say I never battled thoughts of despair or depression. One thing I established right up front was that I wasn't a statistic. I was a child of the Most High God! This created a different platform to operate from.
