A Never Changing God

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Have you ever thought how difficult life would be if God changed His mind? I can't even imagine how hard life would be if we tried to do what was right, but right kept changing. What if truth today isn't true tomorrow? How would we ever know how to please a God who was always changing?

The good news is God never changes. Jesus has always been and always will be the same. The word has never changed. The truths you learned yesterday will work today and still be true for all the tomorrows to come. God has never tried to "keep up with the times" The truths He established before time began will be the same for eternity. I find great comfort in knowing that Jesus never changes when everything else in this world is in constant change. The unchanging word of God has become the means by which I measure the changes in the world.
