Renewed Strength

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

A number of years ago I was working in the woods. I worked by myself so it was a great opportunity to just spend time with God while I worked. I remember feeling a bit tired one day so I was meditating on this verse. As I worked, I noticed I had more energy. This energy was coming from the inside of me. At first it was just a trickle, but it kept increasing as the day went on. It got to the point where I had more energy coming in than going out. I couldn't deplete this energy. It got to the point where I was literally running from job to job because I had too much energy to walk. This scene played out for nine hours. At 5:00 in the afternoon I announced out loud that it was time to go home. At that instant the energy flow stopped.

What I experienced that day has never been duplicated since then. I have relied on this verse many times over the years and have experienced renewed strength because of it. However, that particular day I experienced a flow of energy right from heaven!
