You Are Supplied
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
What a tremendous promise this verse is to us. God is a good God, and He will supply for all you need – not according to what you have or don't have, but according to His riches in glory. As we discussed yesterday, Jesus made it possible for this promise to be available to us.
It is by Jesus that we have all our needs met. Notice that word, "all." All means all – He doesn't leave out anything because it's based on His riches in glory. I don't think there is a shortage of anything in Heaven, do you?
However, like most verses in the Bible, there is a caveat to the promise. Paul told this to the Philippians who had given into his ministry. You see, in the Kingdom of God (how spiritual things operate), you receive more when your hand is open in giving. We see this principle time and time again throughout the Bible. The most important gift was from God when He gave His most precious gift, Jesus, to gain you and me.
When you are in need, ask if you have sown a seed. If you need good friends, be friendly and kind. If you need joy, walk around with a big smile on your face because what you give is what you get. If you need more finances, sow a financial seed that God can cause to grow and multiply in your life so not only are your needs met, but you can also help meet the needs of others.
Dear Lord, thank you for this beautiful promise of provision. I trust that all of my needs are met in Jesus' Name. Amen.
