The Lord Lives

The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted. Psalm 18:46

How wonderful to know that our Savior Lives! As we are about to celebrate Resurrection Sunday, this verse has even more meaning.

I'm sure we all know the song "Because He Lives," which says,

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Because I know who holds the future

and life is worth the living, just because He lives.

It doesn't matter what we have to face today or tomorrow because Jesus lives! He made sure that we could face anything that comes our way because we have Him by our side. We don't have to be afraid of what lies ahead of us because He promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us.

Because Jesus defeated hell and the grave, we now have the victory to face whatever comes our way. We are victors, not victims, above and not beneath. Jesus has provided a way for us where there wasn't a way. We have been forgiven and set free. Hallelujah!

It is good to spend time praising God for the gift of Jesus. Today's verse says, "let the God of my salvation be exalted!" We are to exalt Jesus above all of our circumstances. His name is above every name! Today, spend time worshipping Him and telling Him how much He means to you.

Dear Lord, I praise you and thank you for who you are and give glory to your name. Amen.
