Life to Your Body

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11

How amazing and wonderful this truth is. We have the Holy Spirit on the inside of us – the same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the grave. Do you know why that’s significant? Because if He could raise Jesus from the grave, who had the sin of the whole world laid on Him, the Holy Spirit can also raise us from any situation we need raising from.

Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. The Holy Spirit is waiting for us to use the Word of God in order to perform it in our lives. Just like in Genesis, the Holy Spirit was hovering, waiting to do what God was about to say. When God said, “Let there be light,” the Holy Spirit went to work. He works the same way for us. He’s residing in our hearts and waiting for us to speak the Word of God in faith so that He can perform it in our lives which gives life to our bodies like our verse says.

Maybe you need a resurrection in your body today. You might be sick or have an injury of some sort that you’re dealing with. The Holy Spirit wants to give life to your body today. 1 Peter 2:24 says, “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.” Make that scripture personal and say, “by Jesus’ stripes, I AM healed. I receive my healing by faith and thank God for it before I have the evidence” (Hebrews 11:1). Believe that He has the power to give life to your mortal body today.

Dear Lord, thank you for the healing power of God residing on the inside of me through the Holy Spirit. I receive life to my body today.
