Don't Be a Busybody!

For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. 2 Thessalonians 3:11

I've noticed that people who don't work have all kinds of advice for those that do. I have this one customer that comes by my mill quite regularly. He does work, but he's a busybody. Nearly every time he comes in he has advice on what I need to do, which I find equally interesting and annoying. I have finally started asking him if he's buying me "what I need" that day. I've noticed he doesn't have as much input as he used to.

There has been a push by those in positions of power to make us less productive and more dependent. The only entity God wants us to be dependent on is Him. I have a concern that the world's ways are creeping into the church. It starts off innocent enough, someone loses their job and goes on government assistance. When I was working for a private employment agency, one statistic that troubled me was, if a person was out of work for six weeks, there was a 95% chance they would never work again. Don't be disorderly in God's eyes, work at something, and don't meddle!
