Foundation of Truth

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:12

This is about as plain as anything can be, Jesus is THE foundation the church is founded on. There is no other foundation that is right in God's eyes. There are not multiple ways to God, just one.

It amazes me that there are so many people looking for a church that teaches what they want to believe instead of the truth. There are churches that find the gospel message offensive because it's not all-inclusive. They take pride in loving everyone and accepting anything they do. They do have a point that we need to love people. But the whole point of the church is to proclaim Jesus, not give out warm fuzzies.

Jesus offended a whole lot of people in His earthly ministry. We would be wrong to purposely offend people, but if people find our conduct offensive, so be it. I have two goals in this life, live a life pleasing to God and help usher people into God's glory.
