The Lord is Good

The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:9

Years ago, the denomination that Oral Roberts belonged to tried to vote him out of the denomination. His "crime?” He said that God is a good God.

There is this idea that God is just waiting for a person to mess up so He can drop the hammer on them. With all the injustice in the world, why isn't God constantly wiping someone out? Because He's a good God. Something I've heard lots of times over the years is God will get you for that. I always wondered what "that" was.

Well, I'd like to report that God has gotten me. He got me with His love, His compassion, His understanding, His grace, His mercy, His correction, and so much more. There is coming a Day when the judgment side of God will be at work, but for now, He wants to show His goodness and kindness to all men.
