Used By God

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

A few weeks ago I got direction from God to give a pickup load of firewood away. I felt in my heart that this wood was going to someone who really needed it. I prayed and searched for two weeks to locate someone in need and I wasn't having success at it. I was finally contacted by an individual who wanted to buy some wood for his elderly neighbor. My spirit leaped as I told him I wanted to be a part of this blessing, so I gave him the wood. This guy lives in another state over 300 miles away. I am humbled to be a part of such a blessing. The man it went to was thrilled to get it, and the man who delivered the wood was blessed doing it. Turns out he was a Christian also.

I was again reminded of the length God will go to fulfill someone's need. My spirit is jumping once again just telling this story. God has a blessing in store for all parties involved. I'm reminded of two things- 1) God uses people to meet the needs of people, and 2) He will go however far He has to, to meet the needs of His people.
