Empty Life Without God

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all." Ecclesiastes 12:13

A life lived outside of God is an empty life.

Solomon was a great observer; he studied everything from insects to human nature. He had the wisdom to deal with every crisis brought before him. Israel was, without a doubt, the richest country in the world at that time. Yet, for all of Solomon's success, he couldn't make it last long after him. He saw this coming and contemplated why he did everything he did. Solomon came to the conclusion that much of what he did in the natural was an exercise in futility. He concluded that man should like what he does, enjoy the fruit of his labor, and serve God. Sounds like a life well-lived to me.
