I Have No Shortages

"And my God shall supply your need according to His riches in glory." Philippians 4:19

I don't remember ever living through a time when supply chain shortages were even a thing to be concerned with. I reread Revelation chapters 19 and 20, and the cheerful news is, things are not nearly as bad as they are going to be sometime in the not-so-distant future. The good news, however, is there are no shortages in heaven, and never will be. Psalm 23:1 says, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not lack." As crazy as this sounds, we are at a time when we are dependent on God to meet our needs. However, this isn't going to happen automatically. Shortages are a way of life for the time being.

The way I handle it is by refusing to participate in it. I have turned off the news, and then I declare I have no shortages. I have declared I have no supply chain issues. A couple of months ago, I couldn't find the kind of hash browns I like. The stores couldn't get them in. Instead of getting upset about it, I started exploring other options. I didn't find anything I liked as well, but I wouldn't allow that to affect my attitude. Within a week or two, the hash browns I prefer were in stock again. Do what is right even when everything seems to be going wrong.
