Speaking the Right Words
"(God) satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." Psalm 103:5
Growing up in the church I attended, I always thought this verse and others talked about food. I had no concept of speaking the right words. Words were just words. Since then, I have learned about the power of our words. God is a word God, and He wants us to be word people. He gave us the right words to say, but we need to speak them.
As we age, our bodies change, and not for the better. It is sometimes hard to recognize the person looking back at me in the mirror. My balance isn't what it used to be - putting on a pair of jeans is an excellent opportunity to fall over. When I look in a mirror, it's a great time to speak God's words over me. My skin is young looking, I have perfect eyesight, my body doesn't ache, my hearing is good, and I have the mind of Christ. Too many times, we speak how we feel, "I'm getting so old,” "I am so forgetful," or "I ache all over." Try giving God something to work with by speaking His words to your body.
