God Doesn't Get His Way

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

Did you know that God doesn't always get His way? That comes as a shock to some people, but it's true. I'll prove it- do you do everything that God wants you to do? The answer, of course, is no! You don't, and I definitely don't. In fact, no one does. God made us to make our own choice in every area, including our relationship with Him. The good news is He knows this and loves us anyway.

God's love for us is so great that He just can't help Himself. Our goal should be to please Him in all areas. Where I miss it most is when I feel a nudge to speak with someone and just don't get around to it. I had a friend who was dying of cancer, and I knew l was supposed to share Jesus with him. Life happened, and I just didn't get to it. I hope someone else was obedient to speak to him, but in the end, wherever he is spending eternity was his choice to make. If you happen to find yourself in this position, don't beat yourself up. Repent and move on. Tomorrow is another day.
