Within Our Own Minds

Sometimes the hardest-fought spiritual battles take place within our own minds. Every time we grow spiritually in an area, we have to do something with all the stuff we learned before that is maybe not quite right.

Let me put you at ease here. We are all works in progress, and nobody has everything all figured out when it comes to the things of God. The one thing I have become painfully aware of is the more I know, the more I find out, I don't know.

As a musician, I enjoy playing music. The one thing I know is I will never know everything there is to know about the bass guitar. There is always something new to learn. The same principle applies to every area of our natural life and our spiritual life. Every time I come to something new, I have a choice to make. I can gain new knowledge and grow through it, or I can stay where I'm at because it's comfortable.
