My Sunday Cup

"Know that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ...." Galatians 2:16a

If we aren't careful, our tradition will rob us of our faith. In Paul's day, circumcision was a big issue. What God put in motion as an act of faith had been reduced to an act of tradition. What started out as an act of separation had become an act of division.

If we aren't careful, our worship can become nothing more than tradition. It is good to do a checkup once in a while. We need to ask, " Why do I do what I do?" If you are "blessed" with a personality like mine, tradition can creep in almost unnoticed. “Why do I do it” can easily be replaced by “This is how we do this”

Before we know it, tradition is born and takes on a life of its own. Our worship needs to stay in the faith arena and not slip into tradition.

All this being said, don't even try to use my "Sunday cup" on any other day!
