Wherever He Places You

"Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with me?"...." John 2:4a

I think we all know this story. Jesus is an invited guest at a wedding. Jesus's mom was also there. The hosts of the wedding ran out of wine. I think perhaps we get a glimpse into Mary's personality. Whatever the problem, Mary seems to take it on as her problem, also. She can't fix the problem herself, so she gets others involved, namely Jesus.

If you know anything about Jewish weddings, they are major parties, and it is my belief that Jesus was enjoying the time there. We know the ending, Jesus turns water into wine, and the party keeps going. You will come across people that have taken on the world as their crusade and want to get you involved in their endeavor. You suddenly find yourself involved in something you don't want at all. How did you get here, and how could you have avoided it completely?

I think Jesus's response was perfect, "What does your concern have to do with me?" There are so many worthwhile things to be involved in; how do you choose? God will lead you if you will let Him. I can guarantee that wherever He places you is where you want to be!
