Age Capacity
Before the flood, man lived a really long time. Adam lived 930 years. Noah was 500 before he even started a family and 600 when he started building the arc, which took 100 years to build. I have heard quite a few explanations for this long life. Myself, I'm more of the school of thought, "Who cares!" We can drive ourselves totally in the wrong direction when we get away from what the Bible says.
God put in each of us the capacity to live 120 years, and He has never backed down from that. Why don't we, then? We have an enemy that works tirelessly to steal our years, destroy us, and kill us. It takes faith to live 120 years.
Moses is an example of this. He lived 120 years, and the Bible says he never lost his stamina, and his eyes were still good. It is definitely not a sin to not live that long, and I can't say it's a burning desire I have. On the other side of this, there is a lot of wisdom and knowledge that does not get passed down because it's not available.
