Practicing Faith: How Diligently Seeking God Changes Everything

Good morning saint!

I grew up in a church that, over time, had reduced faith to salvation. That would have been fine but even that was reduced further to having our sins forgiven. Well, praise God for that at least. They did believe in healing, but it was totally up to God, whether He wanted to or didn’t want to. That was the extent of faith. Everyone knew that God could, they just didn’t know if He would.

The first time I actually started practicing faith didn’t go so well. I started applying my faith to getting healed from a cold. I had never heard any teaching on this, but I came across some verses that got me moving in the right direction. I would keep reading, applying what I read, and put it into practice. I wouldn’t get the results I wanted, but I would learn a little bit more each time. I finally decided that I would rather be sick and believe for healing, rather than getting better not practicing faith.

The first time I received healing by believing for it, I have to tell you, there was some jumping going on! I was diligent to get good at it. Isn’t that exactly what this verse says to do? I thank God for His word and that He stands behind it!

Blessings and health to you, mighty warrior!
